Digital Leaders
Digital Leaders
What are Digital Leaders?
Digital leaders are in essence, pupil monitors for the technology that is used in
schools. They are children who are interested, enthusiastic and have the potential
to be role models.
Why have Digital Leaders?
Their job is to be advocates for good behaviour with technology, support teachers
where ever possible and to showcase a range of digital skills. Most importantly,
after some initial training they are able to develop their own skills. The hope is that
they become an exemplar for what is achievable with technology and increase the
impact of ICT/Computing in the school. The KS2 Digital leaders throughout the year will also help run a Computing club to different year groups.
When do Digital Leaders meet?
Mrs Afzal will meet with the KS2 Digital leaders every fortnight during lunchtime for meetings to discuss new technology or problems with technology in their classes, Computing club news and any online safety issues within their class.
