Welcome from the Headteacher
Welcome to our school website. Audley Primary School is a one-form entry school in Caterham.
Our school motto ‘A Journey to Excellence’ is at the heart of everything we do in school and together with parents, carers, governors and the local community, each and every child is encouraged to follow this principle.
Parents and carers are some of the most important people in a child’s life and we are committed to working together with them to ensure that every child achieves the best possible education.
Within Surrey, the school has been ranked as the second hardest school to get into within the 'all schools' category for the last three years. We have also been accredited with the Platinum OPAL Award (ranking us in the top 5% of schools nationally for providing quality play provision) and we are 1 of 5 schools in Surrey to hold the Gold Rights Respecting Award recognising our commitment to the UNICEF Rights of the Child.
We are very proud of our school and everyone has a part to play in its success. It has wonderful grounds, is very well resourced and has excellent staff who use their expertise to extend the learning experiences of all pupils both in the classroom and in a range of extra-curricular clubs, trips and activities.
We hope that you will find this website informative and helpful in providing you with a genuine feel for our happy and successful school.
Please do come and see us in action. We look forward to meeting you.

What makes us unique
OUR
Our curriculum has been designed with pupil voice at its heart to be engaging, challenging and meaningful for all learners. It is carefully aligned to the National Curriculum while remaining bespoke to our school, ensuring children build secure knowledge/skills through carefully planned progression.
Learning is brought to life through immersive, enquiry-led topics that spark curiosity and make meaningful links across subjects. Core subjects such as English & maths are taught discretely, with strong connections made wherever possible so children can apply their learning in meaningful contexts.
Learn MoreAt Audley Primary School, we value the uniqueness of every child. As a Gold Rights Respecting School, we place the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child at the heart of everything we do, ensuring children feel safe, heard and respected as they learn and grow.
Strong relationships support children to become confident, independent and responsible learners who take ownership of their actions and understand their role in the wider world. Through a carefully designed curriculum and a restorative ethos, we encourage curiosity, resilience and compassion...
Learn MoreRecognised as an OPAL Platinum school, Audley is proud to be among the UK's leading schools for outdoor play and learning. This nationally recognised award reflects our commitment to giving every child access to high-quality, inclusive and inspiring play opportunities every day.
We know that play is essential to children's wellbeing and development. By creating opportunities to explore, create, collaborate and take appropriate risks, we help children build confidence, resilience and the skills they need to flourish both in school and in life.
Learn MoreOur wraparound care is provided by Just Like Home Clubs, offering a welcoming and familiar environment for children before and after the school day. Open during term time, sessions run from 7:00–8:30am and 3:00–5:30pm, supporting families with flexible, reliable childcare on the school site.
Led by experienced childcare professionals, the team works closely in partnership with parents and the school to ensure children feel happy, settled and well cared for.
