Parent voice
At Audley Primary School we strongly believe in listening to all our stakeholders. Parents are a crucial part of a child’s education and the wider success of our school. There are a number of ways to let us know your thoughts about our school.
Daily contact
At the end of the day is a good opportunity to quickly mention something to the class teacher related to your child. Please try to avoid doing this first thing in the morning as the teacher’s priority is to settle and register their class.
Make an appointment
Sometimes you may wish to discuss an issue in more depth and we would ask you to either talk directly to your child’s class teacher to arrange an appointment or contact the school office who will be more than happy to arrange a suitable time to come in.
Parents' evenings
We hold termly Parents’ evenings. Dates for these can be found on the Calendar page.
Annual parent surveys
We carry out annual general surveys to gauge parental opinion on the broader aspects of our school and assimilate these views in to our school development plan. Please see the results of the most recent survey below.

Parents, Carers, Visitors Code of Conduct on School Premises
The vast majority of our parents and carers are keen to work with us and are supportive of the school's work. If a parent or carer has concerns we will always listen and seek to address them.
We expect all members of our school community to behave in a reasonable way but sadly, there are occasions when behaviour by parents, carers and visitors to the school is considered unacceptable. This policy outlines the steps that will be taken in those circumstances.

Parent forum
The Governors of Audley Primary School are keen to work closely with parents and carers to help shape the future of the school on its continual ‘Journey to Excellence’. We will be establishing an all through Parent Forum to encourage greater representation and influence from those who have children at the school. It is a valuable way to share ideas, views and make suggestions for improvement. There will be opportunities to get advice and support to help your child/children with their learning.
The aims of the Parent Forum are to
- Work together to improve the education provided for our children
- Share information, knowledge and skills
- Meet in a mutually supportive environment
- Further improve communications between parent/carers and staff / governors
Who can be part of the parent forum?
Any parent is welcome to join any parent forum meeting. The meetings will be held every term for approximately up to an hour and will be chaired by a member of SLT. At times, other members of the school community will also attend the meetings depending on the agenda items.
What will be discussed at the meetings?
Anything related to improving the school and further developing the partnership between the school and parents. The meetings will be informal and are an opportunity for an open discussion.
Concerns or complaints involving individual children, families or members of staff will not be discussed at the Parent Forum meeting. These issues should be raised with the class teacher, Deputy Headteacher or Headteacher in a confidential meeting.
In order to raise an issue or make a suggestions on your behalf, you can either do this through your class representative or email us at: parentsforum@audley.surrey.sch.uk
Deadline for agenda items will be one week before the scheduled meetings. Dates of meetings will be shared here.
