Admissions

Surrey County Council (SCC) is the admission authority for this school.  To find up to date information about the school’s admission arrangements and details on how to apply, either as part of the normal intake or during the school year,  please use this link to the Surrey County Council website.

Reception

Audley Primary is a one-form entry school. We admit 30 children into Reception each year. The selection criteria is standard for most Surrey Schools and refer to the admissions criteria on the SCC website.

Over subscription

If there is over subscription within any criteria, priority is given according to the distance from the pupil’s permanent home address to the school. Distance is measured by a straight lines from the address point of the pupil’s house, as set by Ordnance Survey to the nearest school gate for pupils to use. You can find out how far you are from the school on the Surrey County Council website.

Other year groups & in year admissions

As with Reception admissions, Surrey County Council co-ordinates requests for the transfer to a new School across the County. If there is a space available in the year group requested, you will, under normal circumstances, be offered the place. If there is no place available you will be added to our waiting list and we will contact you if a place becomes available.

The following applications will be treated as in-year admissions:

• Applications after 1 September 2025, for admission to Reception
• All applications for admission to Years 1 to 6

Applications must be made to the Local Authority on Surrey’s common application form. Where there are more applications than places available, each application will be ranked in accordance with the published oversubscription criteria for the school.

We always welcome visits from prospective parents, whether in our reception class at the start of your child’s school career, or at other points in their primary life. If your child will be starting school in September, feel free to phone school office to book an appointment on 01883 342330.

Tour information

All tours last approximately 40 minutes. You are most welcome to bring your child along if you would like to.

If you also have younger children, prams or pushchairs will be left in the library while your infant remains in your care.

If you are unable to attend your tour, we would be grateful if you could please advise us as soon as possible so that we can make the place available to someone else and re-book you to another tour if necessary.
