Extra-curricular

In addition to the curriculum in school, we provide further opportunities to widen the children’s experiences.

Children will have the opportunity to visit places of interest, such as farms, museums and exhibitions to support and complement the curriculum. They may also visit theatres and workshops so that they can experience live theatre.

In Y4 and Y6 children go on a school journey, which benefits them both educationally and socially, as well as the geographical and historical aspects. It also includes outdoor pursuits and team building activities.

Members of staff voluntarily run weekly clubs, which take place in the lunch hour and after school. Children are also encouraged to use the library during break and lunchtimes. 

We also offer a range of after school activities to the whole school. These activities are run by either our own staff or fully qualified independent companies. The activities vary from term to term and are offered on a first come, first served basis.
